Newland supplies the ozone system for Madin Drinking Water Plant in Mexico
Newland EnTech Europe has been awarded the installation of two ozone generators systems for Madin DWP in Mexico.
The project called “Diseño, Construcción Y Estabilización Del Proyecto Planta Potabilizadora Madín II, Plantas De Bombeo Y Líneas De Conducción” consists of expanding the treatment capacity of the current one in order to produce a larger volume of drinking water to supply the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico (ZMVM).
Newland EnTech Europe will supply an ozone generation plant from dry air. The system will consist of two high-efficiency NLO series generators, equipped with the most modern safety systems in terms of dielectric protection and with an advanced energy consumption control system.
The plant will have two complete air compression and treatment systems that will allow it to meet the highest air quality requirements for ozone generation. This air, dry and filtered, will pass to the two ozone production units of 7.5 kg/h each, where it will be subjected to high-voltage and high-frequency silent electrical discharges in order to transform the oxygen in the air into ozone.
Each ozone generator incorporates a UV spectrophotometer that allows you to perform a regulation loop to optimize energy consumption and thus minimize operating costs.
The heat dissipation in the ozone generators will be carried out by means of two closed-circuit cooling systems in order to preserve the construction materials of the equipment in the long term.
The ozone generated is sent to the contact chambers, where it will be transferred to the water by means of high-efficiency dome-type porous diffusers.
The plant will be equipped with the most modern security systems in order to protect the work of the plant operators.
With more than 40,000 kg/h of ozone installed around the world, Newland contributes to the environment protection by reducing the consumption of chemical products using clean technologies.
